You've already stated that they wouldn't exist on their own - they are bred to be exploited. This is no justification, it is a damning indictment on our species.

Imagine if someone bred human babies for the sole specific purpose of exploiting them - would you feel they were justified simply because they argued that the babies wouldn't exist or survive without them?
