You claim that in Case 1, "everything we do in this life doesn’t matter because we won’t remember having existed." I would contend that just because we won’t remember having existed doesn't mean our actions don't matter - that's a purely egocentric viewpoint. Our actions matter because they effect the lives of others... those we leave behind and those yet to be born. It is irrelevant whether we remember them.
