Why Is Everyone So Upset About Surrey Police Ramming a Cow?
Most of them are paying people to do far worse than this every day
She was just a calf and her name was Beau.
If you live in the UK you will have likely seen the shocking and upsetting footage of a police officer from Surrey Police deliberately driving a police patrol car into an escaped calf.
The young cow was trotting down a quiet road last night in Staines-Upon-Thames, followed by a police patrol car. Having escaped from captivity, she was lost, scared and alone.
Without warning, the police car following her suddenly accelerated, smashing into her and throwing her violently 10 metres or more down the road.
As the injured calf struggled to her feet, the police car drove at her again, knocking her down a second time before stopping on top of her head and pinning her to the road.
Social media has been flooded with people sharing the video, which was shot by a member of the public watching from a building that overlooked the scene. The comments were filled with outrage and fury at Surrey Police from people who couldn’t understand how they could be so heartless and cruel to such an innocent and vulnerable young animal.
