Wouldn’t it be wonderful if an organisation calling itself the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was actually dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals?
A massive investigation has found that the organisation is rotten to the core, is promoting factory farming, cruelty and neglect, and is actively lying to the public about it.
The RSPCA is the oldest and largest animal welfare organisation in the world. It receives around £150 million a year, largely from donations and legacies from supporters who trust them to use that money to protect animals from abuse and suffering.
Yet they also have another, much darker source of income, which you will struggle to find in their published annual reports and accounts.
Behind the fluffy public image of smiling staff rescuing abandoned and neglected dogs, cats and other animals, lies a sinister racket that supports horrific cruelty, neglect and abuse of animals out of sight of the public in farms around the UK.
