The transformation was astonishing. The land was buzzing with life.

It was an ambitious project, and the small group of passionate and hardworking volunteers had pulled it off.

Within just two years, the number of animal species had grown from just 23 to 144 — a massive 526% increase.

But they were only just getting started…

The Vegan Land Movement

The Vegan Land Movement was started in 2020 by a group of like-minded individuals united in a shared vision of a kinder, more just, more sustainable future.

Dismayed by the vast swathes of land used to support cruel, exploitative, and environmentally damaging animal agriculture, they resolved to raise enough money to buy some of that land and return it to nature.

In doing so, they would be limiting the amount of countryside used by those wanting to profit from the suffering of domesticated animals, and providing a safe habitat for countless wild animals driven from their homes and to the brink of extinction by the meat and dairy industry.
