Plants making noise when they are lacking certain biochemical constituents, water, etc. does NOT imply they are sentient any more than metal bars making noise when they get too hot implies they are sentient.

What's more, I don't believe you believe this, either. I don't believe you honestly equate mowing the lawn with chopping up a dog (at least, I hope that's true)
