Peterson is certainly interesting. Like many people, I agree with some of what he says, while other stuff he says (and does) is just way off the mark.

He also contradicts himself a lot. Take the above paragraph, for example. Money CAN be an indicator of the value you provide to others, but that's by no means necessarily the case. Just think of all those people with addictions waking up in ditches "in a near-fatal state". There are individuals making a lot of money from supplying this demand, but I can't see Peterson arguing that these suppliers are providing value.
