Not every experience on psychedelics is 'far from the real thing'. I actually started writing a full post which addresses this very question and kinda pre-empted your reply. I may publish it in the next few days, but in short combining both doesn't produce a result greater than the sum of the two, as you might think. It only diminishes the wisdom, depth and authenticity of true spiritual insight/growth/being.
