It's not about "pointing the finger" or saying people have to be "perfect"... it's simply a matter of definition. Veganism has a particular definition. That's not a value judgement. It's just a fact. If someone goes plantbased for health, that's great. But it's just that - plantbased. Veganism is something else. I didn't create the definition, it just is what it is. Non-vegans don't get to decide they're vegan just because they want to call themselves vegan, any more than nonJews get to decide they're Jewish just because they want to call themselves Jewish or non-Jains get to call themselves Jain just because they think it sounds cool. If you fit the definition, you're vegan. If you don't, you're not, and I can't change that.
