I'm currently doing a law degree with the Open University and the extent to which the OU are 'overdoing' the diversity of minority groups is just plain ludicrous.
There's an imaginary family we're following, who are used to illustrate various points of contract law. The family has two same-sex lesbian parents, one of whom (who is partially-sighted AND dyscalculic) is an immigrant from Canada, whose parents emigrated there from Cameroon. They have three mixed-race children from different sperm donors, at least one of whom was also mixed-race. The middle child, who is 10 years old, recently came out as transgender. The youngest child is autistic and needs special support at school from a dedicated support assistant... Well, you get the idea.
Perhaps it's no coincidence that very early on in the contract law module, a Netflix customer contract was used as an example
