I think we've probably all had experiences like this. I remember decades ago, I very briefly met a woman in the city centre (for maybe half a minute) and there was that connection - that recognition, even though we'd never physically met before.

A day or two later, a friend of mine who'd been looking for a flatmate to share the rent with mentioned she'd found someone who was going to be moving in and I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, it was that stranger I'd met two days previously. I was right.
