I like this clear and succinct summary of the futility of searching for an external, discrete and personal God.

I also find the case of Alex O'Connor particularly interesting. He used to be vegan because he saw the inherent wrongness of causing suffering and death when we don't need to. But in his quest for God, he's spent so much time touring and travelling the world that he stopped being vegan because, he claimed, it was no longer practical for his lifestyle.

So he now runs here, there and everywhere looking for an essence that is inseparable from himself, simultaneously funding one of the most violent industries the world has ever known (animal agriculture) in his quest for peace.
