I have NEVER flown in an aeroplane — but in that sense I am very extraordinary. In the UK — and I suspect in most of Europe and the US most middle class and even working class people fly. They might not be jetsetting all over the world regularly like the ruling elite, but many ordinary people I know fly at least once or twice a year.
