He changed it again in Genesis 8 and 9. First, He created a perfect Eden where everyone (including all the animals) were vegan and God had given them every seed, fruit and herb "that they should be your meat" (or words to that effect). Then, after the Flood, Noah killed some animals and put them on a barbecue. God smelled the burning flesh, thought that "it was good" and said, "Oh, okay - from now on you can eat animals, too."

Very easily led.
