Was Jesus Vegan?

According to the Christian Bible, God wants you to be vegan.

In fact, God’s original plan was for a vegan world. Way back in the Garden of Eden, according to the book of Genesis, God says:

“See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.”

So right back at the beginning of creation, not only were the first humans vegan, but all the animals were vegan, too!

Now, I’m not for one minute trying to say that the Bible is a historically accurate account of the origin of life, or that the account in Genesis is scientifically verifiable.

In fact, I don’t think most Christians believe this to be the case. Nevertheless, whether you believe it to be word-for-word true, purely allegorical or a mix of both, it’s surely hard to argue that, biblically, God’s plan was clearly a vegan one.

Even after Adam and Eve angered God by transgressing His only commandment and eating of the tree of life, God still…
