Insulate Britain Protests Show Just How Selfish People Can Be
Like many people in the UK over the past weeks, I have been watching footage of the M25 blockades by protestors from the pressure group ‘Insulate Britain’. I have also been watching various interviews with some of the activists/spokespeople for the group and my anger has been growing. The sheer arrogance and sense of entitlement on display in the interviews following these ‘Insulate Britain’ protests show just how selfish people can be.
For anyone outside the UK, or for anyone in the UK who’s been living under a rock for the past few weeks, Insulate Britain are a bunch of folk who have been blocking various roads, including the M25 or London Orbital Motorway. This is one of the busiest and most important roads in the entire UK and it pretty much encircles Greater London.
The blockades, which have been happening on a daily basis, have caused some major disruptions. Ordinary people with ordinary jobs and ordinary lives have been getting extraordinarily frustrated by the Government’s lack of action in response to these blockades. Time and time again, we have heard stories about people being late for work, their children being late for school, deliveries being delayed.
